Terms of service
The rules for using PaisaBill. Please read them before you start billing.
Effective 12 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Beyond Basics, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("we", "us"), for the use of the PaisaBill apps for Android and Windows, the web app at app.paisabill.in and the website www.paisabill.in (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
1. The Service
PaisaBill is billing, invoicing and point-of-sale software for shops. It is provided free of charge. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance and you will not be charged without your clear agreement.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Shop owners are responsible for the people they add to their shop and the permissions they grant.
3. Your data
You own the data you enter: your shop details, products, customers and bills. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the Service for you. You are responsible for having the right to enter any personal data about your customers or staff, and for using it lawfully.
4. Your responsibility for invoices and tax
PaisaBill is a tool. You are responsible for the accuracy of every bill and invoice you issue and for complying with GST and other laws. This includes your GSTIN and registration details, the GST rates and HSN codes you assign to products, prices and discounts, invoice numbering, filing returns and keeping records for as long as the law requires. PaisaBill does not give tax or legal advice. Check anything you are unsure of with a qualified tax professional.
Some GST requirements are outside what PaisaBill currently does, such as IGST on inter-state supplies, e-invoicing and e-way bills. Use other appropriate tools for those transactions.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, including issuing fake invoices or evading tax.
- Try to access other shops' data, bypass security rules or disrupt the Service.
- Reverse engineer, scrape or overload the Service, or use automated means to access it except as we allow.
- Upload malicious code or content that infringes others' rights.
- Resell or rebrand the Service as your own.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with notice where reasonable.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on Google Firebase, Vercel, app stores, printer hardware and your device's operating system. Their availability and terms are outside our control. Printer compatibility varies by model and we cannot guarantee that every printer will work.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided free, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. Keep your own exports of important records. Reports can be exported as CSV, and the GST summary as PDF.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Beyond Basics is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including tax penalties or interest arising from bills you issue. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to ₹1,000.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account as described on the Delete your account page. We may stop offering the Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page with a new effective date, and tell you in the App or by email if the change is significant. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
