How can we help?

Step-by-step help for the things shop owners ask about most. Can't find your answer? Email beyondbasicstech@gmail.com.

Set up your shop

  1. Install PaisaBill or open app.paisabill.in, then sign up with email or Google.
  2. Choose your business type. Tick "Add sample products" if you want a starter list to edit.
  3. Enter shop details: name, address, phone and GSTIN. Your state is read from the GSTIN.
  4. Set tax options: default GST rate, whether prices include GST, and rounding.
  5. Set up bill numbers: prefix, digits, financial-year tag and start number.
  6. Pick a bill design, connect a printer and make a test bill.

Connect a printer

  1. Turn the printer on and load paper with the shiny (coated) side towards the print head.
  2. Go to Settings, then Printers, and add a printer.
  3. Choose Bluetooth, USB, network (Wi-Fi or LAN) or a Windows printer.
  4. Allow Nearby devices on Android 12 and newer, or location on Android 11 and older, when asked. This is only for Bluetooth scanning.
  5. Choose 58mm or 80mm paper and Image mode, then print a test page.
  6. Still stuck? Use the troubleshooter in the printer screen or read the printer setup guide.

Add products in bulk

  1. Open Products and choose Import.
  2. Download the CSV template and open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
  3. Fill in names, prices, GST rates, HSN codes, MRP, barcodes and categories. Keep the header row.
  4. Save as CSV and import it. Check the preview before confirming.
  5. Export products to CSV any time as a backup.

Print a UPI QR on bills

  1. Open Settings, then Tax and billing.
  2. Enter your UPI ID (VPA) and the payee name.
  3. In your bill template, choose where the QR prints: top or bottom.
  4. The QR carries the bill amount and number, so customers scan and pay the exact total.

Add staff

  1. Open Settings, then Team.
  2. Share the 6-character join code, or invite a staff member by email.
  3. Approve join requests as they come in.
  4. Set permissions per person: give discounts, cancel bills, see reports, edit products.
  5. Remove access when someone leaves.

Send reports to your CA

  1. Open Reports and choose the date range.
  2. Pick a report, such as GST summary, sales summary or item-wise.
  3. Export as CSV (every report) or PDF (GST summary).
  4. Share the file by email or messaging from the share sheet.

Common questions

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the sign-in screen, choose the forgot password option and enter your email. You will receive a reset link from PaisaBill. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes.

Bills printed blank. What is wrong?

The thermal paper is probably loaded upside down. Only the coated side darkens with heat. Flip the roll so the shiny side faces the print head and print again.

The ₹ symbol prints as "?" or a strange character.

Switch the printer to Image mode in Settings, then Printers. Text mode depends on the printer's built-in font, which usually has no rupee sign.

My bills are not showing on my other device.

Check the sync chip on the billing screen. If it says Offline or shows bills waiting, the device that made them needs an internet connection to upload. Both devices must be signed in to the same account and have the same shop selected.

Can I edit a bill after it is paid?

Paid bills cannot be edited or deleted, which keeps your records and bill numbers trustworthy. A user with permission can cancel (void) a bill with a reason and make a new one.

How do I delete my account?

Email us from your registered address with the subject "Delete my PaisaBill account". See the Delete account page for what is removed and how long it takes.
