Free billing software for your Windows PC.

A keyboard-first billing counter for Windows 10 and 11. Print to any installed printer, keep billing offline and see the same data on your phone.

A desktop counter that runs on the keyboard

At a busy PC counter, reaching for the mouse costs seconds on every bill. PaisaBill for Windows is built to work from the keyboard alone:

KeyAction
F2 or /Search products
EnterAdd the highlighted product
Up / DownMove through results
+ / -Change quantity
Ctrl + BackspaceRemove the last item
F8Pay by cash
F10Pay by UPI
F9Hold the bill
F12 or Ctrl + PPrint
EscClear

The wide screen layout keeps the product list and the running bill side by side, so the cashier can see the total while adding items.

Print to any Windows printer

If Windows can print to it, PaisaBill can too. Install your thermal printer's driver and it appears in the list of installed printers. You can also add a Wi-Fi or LAN receipt printer directly by IP address on port 9100, which is handy when the printer sits in a kitchen or is shared between counters.

Use 58mm or 80mm thermal templates for receipts, and A4 or A5 invoice templates for customers who ask for a full-page GST invoice. Every bill can also be saved as a PDF. Read more about thermal printer billing.

All the features of the app, on a bigger screen

  • GST billing with CGST and SGST split, HSN codes, GSTIN and amount in words. See GST billing software.
  • Product management with categories, variants, MRP, stock and CSV import from Excel.
  • Offers such as Buy X get Y free, combo prices and happy hours.
  • Reports with a dashboard and CSV exports, including a GST summary in PDF.
  • Tables, tokens and KOT for restaurants and cafes.
  • Staff permissions so a cashier cannot cancel bills or change prices unless you allow it.

Keeps working when the internet doesn't

Bills are saved on the PC first and sync to your account when the connection returns. A status chip shows whether everything is synced or how many bills are waiting. The owner can check sales from the phone app or the web app at any time.

Setting up a PC billing counter

  1. Install the app from the download page and sign in, or create your account with email and password.
  2. Add your shop: business type, name, address and GSTIN. If you already set up the shop on your phone, just select it.
  3. Bring in products: import a CSV from Excel, start from the sample list for your trade, or add items one by one with HSN code, GST rate and MRP.
  4. Install the printer driver for a USB thermal printer, or note the IP address of a network printer, then add it under Settings, Printers and print a test receipt.
  5. Practise the shortcuts for a few bills.

A PC counter works well with a second device. Keep the Windows app at the main counter and use the Android app to check sales or bill from the floor during rush hours. Staff accounts with their own logins keep each person's bills separate in the staff-wise report.

Windows app or web app?

Both use the same account and data. The Windows app is best for a fixed counter: it prints directly to installed and network printers and opens like any other program. The web app needs no installation and prints through the browser, which suits a quick look from a laptop or a second computer.
